Steve Dale, CABC (certified animal behavior consultant – IAABC) is author of twice weekly national newspaper column (syndicated by Tribune Content Agency). He’s host of two national radio shows (Steve Dale’s Pet World, The Pet Minute - syndicated by Black Dog Radio Productions,) as well as Steve Dale’s Pet World on WGN Radio, Chicago. His many TV appearances range from Oprah to National Geographic Explorer to a wide variety of Animal Planet programs. Steve has appeared on morning news programs around the country. He’s currently a regular contributor to the nationally syndicated HouseSmarts TV.
Among his books, are two ebooks “Good Dog!” and “Good Cat!” He’s an editor of “Decoding Your Dog,” authored by the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists. Steve contributed to, “The Cat: Clinical Medicine and Management” (edited Dr. Susan Little). He’s written forwards and introductions to many pet books, and has contributed to dozens of publications including “Behavior Guidelines for Indoor Cats,” (American Association of Feline Practitioners) and “CATegorical Care: An Owner’s Guide to America’s #1 Companion (American Humane Association, CATalyst Council). His columns regularly appear in “Rescue Proud” and “Catster.”
Steve has earned multiple awards for his work including the prestigious AVMA Humane Award. He’s the youngest person ever to be inducted into the Dog Writer’s Hall of Fame. Steve serves on the Boards of the Winn Feline Foundation as well as Tree House Humane Society in Chicago. He’s a past Board Member of the American Humane Association, and he’s a founder and past Board member of the CATalyst Council. Steve is a frequent speaker at veterinary and animal welfare conferences around the world.
